San Diego opened as the favorite at home -3, O/U 37.5. StatShark has virtually the same O/U at 37, but it does have San Diego as a much bigger favorite at -7. San Diego dominated for 11 of 12 quarters they have played this year. Pittsburgh has been dominated in 8 of 12 quarters they have played this season. With the San Diego pass rush Ben Roethlisberger is not getting the time he needs for Hines Ward and Heath Miller to get open to consistently move the ball through the air. The Chargers defense is set to contain the Pittsburgh running game. If Schottenheimer lets Philip Rivers play a more significant role when protecting leads the Chargers should cover. However, if Marty Ball rears its ugly head then a late Steeler comeback is certainly possible.
